In response to recent physician inquiries to access Virtua's information systems via mobile devices, we are pleased to announce Virtua's new Mobile Computing Device policy allowing for physicians to connect their personal smartphones or other mobile computing device. A list of Virtua tested and approved devices are posted to Digital 411. These devices do not have to be tethered to a specific cell phone carrier like AT&T.
To connect, physicians may download a free "app" called the Citrix Receiver. By following the configuration instructions (located here) physicians can begin setting up their accounts.
Also available on Digital 411 is a Personally-owned Mobile Device Proper Use Agreement all physicians must sign in order to connect their mobile devices. Once the agreement is faxed to the IS Department at 856-762-2734, physicians will be granted access to the appropriate Virtua applications via the Citrix Receiver. This agreement is provided in accordance with Virtua's Mobile Computing Device Policy.
